Will the circular polarizer I bought for my Canon EOS Rebel K2 work on the Canon XSi I'm getting soon?

I guess what I'm really asking is will a normal circular polarizer work on a Digital SLR?
I'm not too familiar with cameras and accessories. :d

    The circular polarizing filter is necessary for ALL auto-focus cameras, so yes, it will work on both your current and new camera.

    As long as it's the same size across the front of the lens, it will work fine.
