hey everyone. id like to know the pros and cons about this particular digital camera. i would like to know ur personal experiences if u have ever owned this camera and how the pictures taken with it turned out. im thinkin about buying this camera and i would LOVE to know the ins and outs of the product. i have done alot of research but once again i want to know ur personal opinions. thanks alot!!!
The camera runs off of batteries… How much do these cameras come up to? I don't have a cord or anything for it; Just the camera and len; It was given to me by someone. What else do I need for it? How do I get the pictures off of it?

on most cameras there is the option to change the camera to sepia or black and white.
on this camera im unaware of how to do so.

a couple weeks ago, the screen on my camera broke. my mom just wouldnt let me get it repaired because she thought it would be too expensive and she wanted to teach me responsibility. i charged my camera later that week and made a video; it was working perfectly. my cousins and i were taking picture, and it warned me that the battery was closed to being empty. then suddenly it turned off and when i tried to turn it on the screen said battery empty (it always does and says this when the battery needs to be charged). the battery lasted for just about the normal time as it did before i broke it. so i took the camera home and charged the battery. i forgot to take the battery out after it charged for a few hours so it ended up charging overnight. i woke up this morning and put my battery in my camera and it said battery empty. i tried to charge the battery but nothing happened.

has this happened to you?
what did you do to fix it?
is it because of the crack on the screen?
I am considering DSLR cameras with (a) anti-shake, (b) dust reduction, and (c) live view, at about 10 megapixels. In my price range this leaves the E-510 (olympus) and the A-300 (Sony). Sony has more "used lens deals" since its lens format is more established, and Olympus uses the smaller/lighter 4/3 lens format. Other than that, which is a better deal? I believe these are the only two DSLR bodies in this price range with all three bleeding-edge killer features above.
about its waterproof capabilites..mainly that it is good until it goes in the water…if anyone owns one or could help your advice will be greatly appreciated!
