I just bought the new Sony Handycam. I bought this to use with my IMac. The man at the store told me it would work with Mac. He said the USB would connect but when I connect it nothing seems to work. The DVD it came with said it only works with windows! He also said it takes ScanDisk, but it seems to only take sony memory stick. Is ths right? Will it work with firewire? Also If firewire works, I dont want it Live, I want to take the cam places & transfer it later . Is this Possible?? I will choose the best answer. Thanks!!!!
Also I have an attachment to import SD to my mac. Will the Memory stick pro duo work in this?

I'm desperate right now because my laptop holds a ton of important information and work. My laptop is a Sony PCG-6D2P running on Windows XP. It keeps restarting after showing the "blue screen of death" and I can't get into the log-in screen. I've tried safe mode, which works. Then I tried system restore to an earlier date. It looked like it was working. Then my laptop would not start up again. It keeps restarting.

I do not have the XP recovery disk. And I think it's an overheating problem because I left it on since last night by accident. What do I do? And can I clean out the fan? It is several years old.

In addition, I don't want to do anything that would make me lose my work. I've heard something about BIOS…will that wipe out my memory/hard drive though?
If my laptop is overheating (I'm almost positive it's because of this), should I not turn it on for a couple of days? Would it "repair" itself or cool down so my notebook will work again?

I have SONY remote when I try to use it won't work,
won't chance channel, won't do nothing no on or off or volume up or down,
I even changed the remote got universla remote from walmart. changed like 3 or 4 different remote
still not working

my sony vaio laptop screen started to flash like it was going on and off but once I turned it off it goes only to the windows logo and the screen goes black but still flickering showing the background but still works perfectly fine i dont think i may need to repalce the whole screen it will be more than $300 plus any of ya have any experence or had any solution? thnks ^.^
