Just bought the Fuji S700. What settings are ideal?

I just want to know what is the best setting for this camera. I will mostly shoot in auto and night mode i guess.

If you are shooting in auto, that in itself is a setting.

Until you can take a class and learn how to use an adjustable camera, just use your owners manual and practice using the many modes your camera has.

If you had a fully adjustable camera … like a DSLR, the answer would be the same. Only the user can determine which settings are best for the subject and lighting. To do that, you must have some small amount of educatioin … enough to know which way to adjust the f/stop or shutter speed under the conditions.

If you can, return that camera it is horrible. I would recommend the sony h50, canon s5is, or canon sx100is
