Panasonic CT-32G11U 12 years old, what is causing it to shut off by itself?

after being on for 45minutes or so it will shut off. After another 5 minutes it will turn back on and will continue going off and on every couple of minutes. I tried unplugging it and that didn’t do anything. Just before it shuts off i hear a clicking noise. I have tried to get it fixed but know one around here fixes TVs they don’t sell. I cannot find anyone that just repairs TVs around here, Please Help.?!

Your talking about a very expensive repair. The power supply on the system is overheating and causing it to feedback into the horizontal output grid. This causes the system to clip off once it has reached the circuits thermal limit. The initial charge up time may be 30 to 45 minutes. After that you don’t have enough power to keep the CRT guns controls going, so it keeps trying to power up the CRT or picture guns and the power hits its thermal limit again and gets cut off. Eventually the power supply or fly-back will fail completely at any rate the cost of repair will exceed the cost of a new TV. Unless you have some sentimental attachment to the TV you will have to get a new one.
