Older lense on Pentax K110D?

I have a TOU/Five star MC AUTO Macro Zoom lense that I have used on my K1000 for many years. Will this lense work on the K110, it fits just fine but the camera will not work with it on, the AV just flashes on the top display. Thanks for any help.

    I don't know about your specific lense, but I know if you put a manual focus lense on an autofocus camera you need to turn the aperature ring all the way or it will give an error.
