Giga Pocket with windows movie maker or sony vegas?

I have a sony Vaio desktop with a giga pocket tuner card. I have been using it to record VHS tapes with Windows Media Center but Ive had too many problems. Is there a way I can get the card to work with windows movie maker or sony vegas, or are there any better solutions?
I forgot to mention that I dont have the giga pocket software, Im assuming that my tuner card is called a giga pocket.
