Unless Sony Ericsson has announced another version that I am not aware of, W980 is incompatible with US 3G network (supports only 2100 MHz). I am not sure if I would pay $500 or so (MSRP will be $600) for a phone that isn't designed for the US market, especially given ho hum spec.
Sony claims a "premium quality" wireless earphone would be included but I think it's pretty stupid for a Walkman phone to not support standard headphones (no 3.5mm jack).
