i've had 2 Sony digital cybershot cameras, and both of their screens cracked from the inside.?
what would you suggest i do? is there some sort of LCD screen protector? or should i switch to a different brand?

That is funny, because I have had that same type of camera and it was the best !!! Get the aftermarket guarantee for it so that if you have trouble with it they will replace it for you….OR
Try another brand or camera, but get the after market warranty.
Have you dropped your cameras? Bumped them? Carried them in your purse? You really need to buy a small case and use that to carry it in.
Check out the Canon Powershots. I've had one for over two years, and it is jusr like new. But I keep it in a case when I'm not using it, and I have been very careful with it.
Take it to the store where you bought it and see if they have a guarantee on it. Sometimes regardless of whether or not you've bought a guarantee, some things can be blamed on a faulty design and they'll replace the camera for you free of charge. Take both of them into the store if you still have them. They'll inspect it and see if it was your fault or not and even if it is they'll also tell you the possible things that you're doing wrong so that you can prevent yourself from doing them again.
My guess is that they overheated, maybe you left them in the car or something. It happened with my iPod; the screen was fine but what looked like an inside-screen was cracked and there was some black liquid looking stuff floating around.
But anyway, your best bet is to take it to the store in which you bought it.
